DEHESA has selected the Duroc breed, which is genetically the closest to the Patanegra pig, with a natural and controlled diet and with double the maturing time (20-24 months) to obtain the best Serrano ham in the world.

 

UNIQUE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS 

  • 100% Duroc breed. Genetic specificity brings tenderness and unique marbling.
  • Farming: Extensive at an altitude of 1500m in the mountains of the Sierra de Alcarama (Soria).
  • Food: 100% natural.
  • Maturing: Doubled (minimum 20 months). The longer the Duroc is matured, the lower the salt content.
  • Without a pronounced note of salt.
